The light super-structure and bright walls and floor allow this breakfast room extension to be permanently flooded with bright blue light, whatever the weather. The blue glazed roof lifts up to embrace the garden and westerly sun is captured in the afternoons in the other direction.

The strong axis down the middle of the room indicates the separation between the inner and outer spaces. At night, the room is warmed by the natural fossil rich stone floor and warm lighting.

The mirrored corner of the frame was a gift to the client to lighten the structure and offer surprising and unusual garden reflections.
